Raccoons: The Pandas of The Dark

funny raccoon standing on grass

The Raccoon is a medium-sized mammal native to North America. Though they have a soft and panda-like face, they are considered dangerous when sick, protecting their young, and approached without caution. Their grey fur is extremely dense and helps them stay insulated and warm during the winter months. Unlike what most people think, Raccoons do not have thumbs. Instead, they have sensitive hands and use their palms to grab and lift things. Another thing that surprises people is that Raccoons are extremely intelligent. They can understand their environment and create logical thoughts to make a decision.
